Customers
Every customer organisation — their people, parts, orders and credit. Three ways to run a customer: fully staff-managed (they never log in), vault-first (build it now, invite them when it’s ready), or invite them straight away.
01Create customer vault
Sets the customer up quietly — no email is sent, and none has to be. Leave the email blank for a staff-managed customer who never logs in; add one and the signup link simply waits until you choose to send it from their page.
02Invite customer
Emails a unique signup link right now; their vault is created when they accept. Use this when there’s nothing to pre-load.
03Invitations
Every signup link in flight — resend or cancel from here. “Not sent” means a vault exists but the customer hasn’t been emailed yet; the amber badge counts invites needing attention.
04The portal is optional
A customer never has to be invited. You can hold their parts, raise their orders and invoice to their terms entirely on their behalf — and switch the portal on from their page if that ever changes.
05Inside a customer
Open one for the whole relationship — members, vault parts, orders, terms and the invite itself. A walkthrough runs on that page too.
06Linked: Credit
Trade-account applications and limits for these customers are handled under Credit.
07Duplicate warning
Creating a vault or inviting a customer checks the name against the organisations you already have. If one looks the same — the same words in a different order, a missing “Pty Ltd” — the matches are shown with links and you are asked to confirm the new one is genuinely different before it is created. Two records for one customer split their history, parts and credit, and are painful to merge later.
