In practice
A pallet of bar arrives against a purchase order. Stores receives it into Rack B on the phone and the ledger shows who, when and how much.
Twelve liner plates ship. Despatch picks Main store, stock drops from twenty to eight, and the movement carries the order number.
A customer pays half an invoice by transfer. Accounts records the part payment; their credit line frees by the same amount and the order flips to paid on the second.
